New Impression 7A and 10A Tablets to be Announced at CES 2012

Leader International has two new tablets to be announced at CES 2012 on Monday 9 January, 2012. The 9.7- and 7-inch tablets run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with Adobe Flash 10.3 and are scheduled to hit the shelves in Q1 of 2012. It will be very very affordable tablets with prices of $229 and $179 respectively.

Corby to Unveil Android 4.0 Internet Tablets at CES 2012

Coby Electronics will unveil Android-powered internet tablets at CES 2102. And starting Q1 2012, the company will debut five Ice Cream Sandwich-operated tablets, including the 7″ MID7042, 8″ MID8042 (4:3 aspect ratio), 9″ MID9042, 9.7″ MID9742 (4:3 aspect ratio), and 10″ MID1042. All models will feature 1GHz ARM Cortex A8 CPU and offer capacitive multi-touch screens, up to 1GB of RAM, expandable memory up to 32GB, Wi-Fi and HDMI 1080p output.

Samsung launched its first sliding tablet PC at the recent CES in Las Vegas. Equipped with Microsoft Windows 7 operating system and powered by the upcoming Intel Atom processor platform, the PC 7 Series incorporates a sliding keyboard along with the multi-touch display. Weighing just 2.2 pounds, the 7 Series is suited for both indoor and outdoor use with 340-nit brightness 10.1-inch display supported by an enhanced HD resolution (1366 x 768). Regarding battery life, it lasts for up to 9 hours.

Toshiba’s Android Tablet is Coming

Toshiba previewed its first Android-powered tablet for the U.S. market. Slated to ship in the first half of 2011 with the Android Honeycomb operating system, the tablet features a 10.1-inch diagonal widescreen HD display with 1280×800 resolution and 16:10 aspect ratio. The tablet also features a built-in motion sensor that enables full screen rotation and includes a rotation-lock switch to set the display in position when the user chooses. In addition, the tablet includes an on-screen keyboard with Haptic feedback for more accurate typing. Other highlights: Toshiba’s EasyGrip finish (a unique slip-resistant rubberized surface) and an open design that allows users to replace the EasyGrip back covers and the prismatic lithium ion battery.
