The company embed a high-reolution 41 megapixel sensor with high-performance Carl Zeiss optics and new pixel oversampling technology into the smartphone. Looking at the sensor resolution, I think it could challange the advance D-SLR camera such as Nikon D800 or Canon 5D Mk III, what do you think?

Let’s take a closer look at the photography features, Nokia 808 PureView comes with a fullscreen 16:9 viefinder with easy on-screen touch controls and is equipped with Xenon flash as well as LED for video recording. The ultrawide lens has focal length 8:02 mm (35 mm equivalent focal length -26 mm, 16:9 / 28 mm, 4:3) and has Macro functionality with focus range 15-50 cm. In addition to the three shoting mode, the 808 PureView also features an integrated photo editor. We know that high-resolution image produces larger file size, to solve this problem, Nokia configure the smartphone with 16GB internal memory and microSD card slot for storage expansion up to 48GB.

Available in Rusia and India as of May with other countries to follow, the Nokia 808 PureView operates in GSM/EDGE and WCDMA with automatic switching between both band. Regarding connectivity, this smartphone sports Bluetooth 3.0, HDMI, DLNA, High-Speed USB 2.0 (micro USB connector), Micro USB connector and charging, USB On-the-Go, 3.5 mm Nokia standard audio, connector with TV-out, Secure NFC, WLAN, A-GPS,a nd FM transmitter.
